Shanghai People's Grand Theatre is the most famous century-old theatre in China. It is the longest living modern theatre in Shanghai and the birthplace of Shanghai Peking Opera.Famous Peking opera artists Yang Xiaolou and Mei Lanfang all had appeared on stage here.After the renovation in 2010,the theatre returned with functions supporting various performances and shows such as play,opera,musical and ballet.
