Oriental Financial • Pudong Channel was jointly created and launched on April 18, 2015 by the Pudong New District of Shanghai and Shanghai Media Group. The channel is positioned to "reflects national strategy, financial characteristics, and highlights Pudong elements". and aims to showcase Pudong’s image by highlighting results from the national strategy of reform and innovation, especially in the construction of trade zones, science and technology innovation centers, and pioneering zones.
The target audiences of the channel are mature urban residents aged from 20 to 45 from various sectors and vocations such as government officials, experts and academics, business executives, and the urban white-collar workforce. The channel broadcasts programs for 20 hours throughout the day, which covers news, special topics, interviews, forums, and culture, among its large body of content. Through the channel, audiences across the country can know about current global political and economic occurrences, comprehensive interpretation and discussion of newly announced policies, as well as the latest achievements in free trade zone establishments, science and technology innovation centers, and pioneering zones.
