International Channel Shanghai (ICS) was established in 2008. It is the only localTV channel in mainland China with English as main broadcast language

ICS servesforeigners in Shanghai. It broadcasts 195 hours of English news programs throughout the yearand 26 hours of Japanese special programs, including daily news  "Live Shanghai" and “Finance Pathway”, weekly Japanese program "China-Japan New Vision", weekly informational program on studying abroad "Knowing Your Way Abroad", etc. The content programming is designed to showcase Shanghai's economic and social environment alongside the charm of China's traditional culture. 

From 2021, International Channel Shanghai (ICS) created a network of accounts on platforms such as TikTok, Kuaishou, and Video Account, with "Shanghai Foreign Language Channel ICS" as main branding. Internationally, the channel runs accounts such as "LikeChina2021" and "SMG China-Japan New Vision" on Tiktok, YouTube and other social media outlets.
